Before your treatment

Come to your consultation prepared. Be honest with yourself about your wishes and questions. You will learn how Restylane products can be safely used to suit your wishes, and you will be asked about your medical history. When you leave your consultation you should feel well informed about Restylane, and you should know what results to expect.

Harmony programme, designed to reveal the true you

The Harmony programme is a personalized treatment plan that uses the latest techniques and scientifically proven products to restore and enhance facial balance.

The program includes a unique, personal questionnaire, which you complete before your consultation. Your responses to the questionnaire enable you and your practitioner to work together to design your individual Harmony treatment plan, taking into account your facial features and skin condition, as well as your personal motives, aspirations and budget.

FAQs

+ -
What should I bear in mind when considering a treatment?

First of all, you should always contact a qualified practitioner to be assured that the treatment will be performed correctly. Your treatment should be performed in a medical environment that affords you privacy and is spotlessly clean. You may want to request to see your chosen clinician’s training certificate and insurance certificate to ensure they are appropriately trained and insured for the treatment they are providing.

+ -
How long does the treatment take?

A treatment with Restylane does not take long. Depending on the area and indication, it takes approximately 15-45 minutes. A touch-up treatment is sometimes performed approximately two weeks after the initial treatment to optimise the results.

+ -
Is the treatment painful?

Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. Many Restylane products contain an integrated local anaesthetic, lidocaine, to provide you with a more comfortable treatment experience, and Restylane also comes with special needles for easy skin penetration. You and your clinician may decide whether additional pain relief is needed.

Can everyone have a Restylane Fillers or Restylane Skinboosters treatment?

Ask your practitioner if you will benefit from treatment with any of the products within the Restylane range. It is important when discussing your medical history to tell your practitioner everything, including all medicines that you are taking, any present and past allergies and their seriousness, and all current or past medical conditions you have had. Your clinician will discuss potential side effects from the injection of Restylane and how serious they may be. You should also inform your practitioner if you have received previous aesthetic treatments, both surgical and non-surgical.

+ -
Who should not have a Restylane treatment?

Patients with a known allergy to hyaluronic acid based products should not undergo treatment, nor should patients with bleeding disorders, or active skin disease such as inflammation, infection or tumors in or near the area to be treated. Discuss contraindications, warnings and precautions with your healthcare practitioner before Restylane treatment.
